Compassionate One-on-One therapy sessions can help you overcome what feels unbearable. The purpose of the individual therapy session is to assist you with personal difficulties in the context of a caring and therapeutic relationship. My aim is to provide you with an environment of safety, acceptance and encouragement where you can explore your challenges to find new insights and ways of dealing with your difficulties.

One of the most important factors in choosing a counsellor is the “fit” between you and the one. No matter what theoretical belief a psychotherapist has, the real root of success of the process is in the relationship. It is very important for you to feel safe and connected. You deserve to be seen, heard, and validated in your difficult time. I am here for you to offer you the compassionate heart and deep listening to help you walk towards your own uniquely desired journey in life.

Professional Individual therapy sessions include:

  • Deep listening & understanding of your situation

  • Assessment as needed

  • Therapeutic modalities to match your needs

  • Custom take-away assignments

  • Co-regulation to promote your emotional regulation

  • Navigational tools to change your habits and/or your negative thinking and behaviours

Fees

$130 / 60min

I offer a free 15-minutes consultation to each new client so we can get to know each other a little and to allow you to get a feel for whether I am the right fit for you. If you decide that you would like to schedule an appointment, we can set that up. If you or I feel that I am not the best person to support you, I may refer you to other counsellor or services that may be a better fit. There is no cost and this does not commit you anything further.

online therapy

Online counselling has become a common therapy option for many clients seeking out options for psychotherapy. With secure online platform, there are consistent research findings and scientific evidence that online-counselling can be as effective as conventional in-person therapy, or sometimes even better. Some people are more comfortable with online counselling and find they can talk with more ease. You can stay in the comfort of your own place or the place of your choice wherever you feel convenient & safe.

Telehealth Counselling Tips

  1. Check if your wifi connection to determine the best internet connection

  2. As best as you can, set yourself up in a space where you will not be disturbed. Turn off any distractions, such as your phone.

  3. Sit somewhere you feel comfortable. Grab some items to help you relax such as a blanket, pillow, tea, or water.

  4. Headphones can help with the quality of audio and help you stay focused on your session.

Note: tele-therapy sessions may not be right for those with more severe psychiatric illnesses.
